My barred rock Gidget has been laying weird eggs lately. They have sort of mended cracks in them. I'll post a picture. Gidget is a very healthy chicken. Why is she laying eggs like this?

HuH that's kinda cool!

Have you cracked the egg open to examine the thickness of shell?
Would be best to crack it across the mend,
from small end to large end of egg,
by rapping it with a knife.

An egg that cracks during the shelling phase,
from a scare/jump/tumble,
can be 'mended' by further shelling,
but I've never seen one like this.

Wow, that's an interesting egg shell for sure! I have no idea why her eggs are coming out like this.
I haven't picked her up to see if that helps, but no.
Not sure what this refers to?
Who suggested picking her up and why?

My cousin raises chickens, and he told me picking them up can cause that.
