Gil's world! Update

Is it a tatoo of Gil? We wanna see!

You got me there, it's not a gil tattoo but it was designed and placed for a gil tattoo to be added underneath of it!!!! I am so excited!

Okay on a sadder note, the tat is for my dog that had to be put down at only age 4. He was my bestfriend and it's been 10 months and I still wanted this tat so I went for it. I am completely in love with it and here's where it's super exciting. It's an exact replica of his paw print (just shrunken a tiny, tiny bit because I am only 5'2 and don't weigh more than a middle schooler. So if you can imagine that much, I have some small, twig like arms. The full size paw print would have eaten my shoulder :lau

The bandage has to stay on for 3 days, regardless of it filling up with blood that turned black from the ink so try to ignore the clear bandage and fluid all over.

IMG_1164.jpg IMG_1165.jpg it just says "Luke" and there's a little heart at the end of his name.

I have another dog that is 14 and she's not doing so great but she's a very small dog. So her tiny paw print I want to add underneath of lukes paw to the side, and then next to that on the other side, still underneath lukes paw, I want to have a ducky foot print with name Gil. I am so excited to have the little paw and foot prints of the pets that were most significant to me. It took me 10 months to figure out the designs of the tat and the placing because we were also accounting for Rosie's paw print (my small, old dog) and Gil's little ducky print. My tattoo artist loved hearing about Gil!

As the bandage fills with fluid though, Gil is noticing it more and more and just wants to rip the bubble off my arm. At least it doesn't bother me to have a sleeve covering it!!!

I've looked at some ideas online for a small duck tattoo but everyone gets a call duck outlined on them. Call ducks have nothing to do with my life and I LOVE gil's feet so I thought a ducky foot print with my pups would be cute. If anyone has any duck tattoo idea's though, feel free to leave suggestions!

Very nice tribute

Thats huge for a first tattoo you got guts.

never seen that kind of wrap before

Luckily, everyone made me think I was going to die of pain so once she actually started with it, I was like "Oh... this is fine, I thought it was going to be way worse!" and even luckier it only took her an hour and 10 minutes to have me in and out!

And the wrap. I forget what it's called but its basically a layer of fake skin. Small tattoos you keep it on 3 days and large tats 4 days. After it comes off no cream or ointment. It will heal perfectly on it's own with the 'fake skin'. Apparently it's a lot better than the typical 2-3 absorbant bandage and tape. I am on day 2 though and just want to rip it off. All the blood and fluids underneath of it have dried completely now so I assume it's healed but I'll wait the one last day they told me to! They were saying though leave it on for 3 days but they didn't even consider my tattoo a 3 day must wear bandage they said probably more like 2 but we tell everyone minimum of 3 just in case. She also had a HUGE tattoo on her chest that she pulled it off after 3 days and it looked like the rest of her tattoos that she actually told me were 11 years old. They all look perfect, like a month old!
