A little background we are in South Texas the chickens free-range on 4 acres of land. This chicken was fine and two hours later had a stretched neck. No wounds or bites, could have gotten in the garden and ate green tomatoes. We have a vet appointment tomorrow. Per someone suggestion she was giving molasses and applesauce, she also has had vitamins put in her water. All our chickens are feed a high-quality feed. We have had more then normal amount of rain... She is inside in a cage. And is trying to clean herself. Wry neck, boutilism, green tomato poisoning or something else going on with this chicken? the family did a grid sweep of the property for dead animals, bad plants and maggots. And nothing was find that could hurt. we do try to keep the property clean/cleared. Nothing was find. No wounds. Any advice, or help or idea....

I couldnt upload the file. So here is the video

The chicken is back to normal today. Nobody has any clue? So thinking maybe a pulled muscle is likely rom her being a greedy pig and stretching her neck up to get all the green tomatoes. But keeping indoor for another few days and giving extra vitamins just to be safe... so weird chickens

Glad she's back to normal. :) Keep an eye on her just in case there's a relapse.

I'd bet it ate something maybe too large that got stuck in throat or it's crop was crammed uncomfortably full.

No reason to keep it inside or any supplements if it's eating/drinking/pooping and moving around OK.
