Girl Or Boy ??????

I bought 3 more of these guys........ can you tell if they are boys or girls. All 3 look the same, with slight spots fading on the back of neck.....

If you want a boy, get one with a LOT of little darker colored bars all over back and wings. Look in other threads with India blue chicks, the male version will be in this color but still show a lot of barring, just in "darker brown" instead of black of India blue boys.

BUT.. if the breeder/seller had a set up of a purple/cameo peacock (or a split peacock) with blue hens, then all of the purples/cameos are going to be girls.

Only way to get purple/cameo boys is to have breeder purple/cameo peahens with either a split or purple/cameo peacock.

A IB Pied = ?

A White = ?

A Midnight blue =?

A Black Shoulder =?


That's all the males, or that I hope are males... I have right now......

Best of what you have.

IB pied = IB pieds, whites, dark pieds, all split.

White = IB pied ,and whites all split.

Only way to produce sex link colors are with males of that color or split to that color.

Only way to get sex link males, is with males of that color or split to that color mated to a hen of that color.

Pair of purples, same with the pieds, will still have the barrings on males.
