Girls vs Girls

Gosh, I hope your ferret gets better Cochin.

So, I've been blown over by todays news. (Yes, goats again) So, I've parused the internet, websites, chats, show winnes, and star milkers and found 3 of the best breeders in the states (TX, OK, and AZ) So, I emailed or called them all (one doesn't have email at all, so I actually had to search DAYS before I found her name, and then got her number) and honestly told them what I was up to. That I didn't see why a small heard for milking shouldn't be the best possible. Small doesn't have to mean crap. I told them about Avas willing but poor milking (and why I was stick with her). I told them about the lineage of the other doe (an accidental score), and gave them the info and genetics of the buckling I've paid for and researved. So, today, one online and the other on the phone, have officially agreed to sell me a doeling each. In fact, maybe the best genetics in the world, Jobi, is saving me her very most promising doeling born this year. She manages to avoid people, and I'm the first to call her (last Nov.) and I call back every single month. Now, I'm in. (whew!) The other was the national champion milker last year, but I nobody is getting her kids. They have some other past show goats and great milkers than I'm on waiting list for pick of. I'm not first at all, but they've got some really really amazing milkers, like over a gallon a day!!! Thats what I want! Woo Hoo! I'm gonna be a cheesemaking mother F when its all done. I'm gonna end up with 3 or 4 does. And a buck. LOL. Oh well, anything worth doing is worth overdoing, right?

You could knock me over with a feather.

OK, so ( http://www.desertnanny.net/ ) desertnanny in AZ is selling me (if she has one) the doeling from the mother of their best show goat last year. She milks out A LOT. And, is also a 5* milker GCH herself. (grand champion). The 5*M means 5 consecutive mother to daughter generations of tested awesome milkers. Her daughter is also *Milker qualified, and she's bred to a *buck (has mothers and/or daughters that were star milkers) If you follow the link, its GCH Madeline (ok theres more, but its Madeline....) Just crazy to get them both the same day.

I maybe small, but I might as well have goats worth something. If I can't keep them (and I don't want to) I ought to be able to sell their kids!
