Yes trying to work out the little kinks so it's fully operational. And LOL! I've seen quail on craigslist the past few weeks and have been thinking about getting some.

Have you determined if it is possible to save the basic form of the egg finder, incase some well meaning person accidentlly alters it significantly?

there is a lady selling button quail, adult trios and she had some started ones, but I bought those.

Anyway, you could get a trio or two from her. Your not going to eat yours, so the smaller one makes sense financially. Also, more tame. Also, you can put them under the cages of other birds, and they'll clean up loose feed. IF you have a really great fence, they could probobly be kept with messy eaters like waterfowl. (I'd skip chickens and such entirely) Just saying.....

Sorry I didn't make it on. No juicy detials for you, though!

The button quail will be happy to eat game bird food like turkeys, or basically any food whatsoever. They often kept in zoos, they run around with the people and eat their crumbs and stuff. Somefolks even put them out in the pens, cause they can go from pen to pen if they holes are 2".
