I was raised with (normal) chickens. We got like 215 a year. 200 normals, and about 15 of every other strange breed as "free gift chicks". That how we got turkens (naked necks), silkies, poor heads, salmon favriolies, and etc. I used to gather as many as 194 eggs a day, as she had hens up to age 3, so we maybe had 275 total hens at any time (barred rocks or RIRs usually, but I got mom hooked on buff orphingtons and black australorps later.) It sure took a lot of work, I'm telling you!
No runners? Oh, poor poor cochin. However, they wouldn't be a great choice for you. Mallards maybe, cayugas, possible pekings.

You must have a army of bantam ducks. Plus they only count as half a duck in duck math

Girls, I'm about to go. I hate to think of you all hanging out until 2 or 3 when I'm sleeping, but I gotta go. I'm beat right down to my socks. If I have to hold myself up another moment, my belly button is gonna cave in.

We have 11 chickens, 1 turkey. Easy., Then 4 quails who run out of water 3 times a week

tehir the easiest, and their old enough they have less hay and more wire area.
We had mallards, not the best but it'd be good cause our feedstore sells them and they just fly off come fall supposdedly.

Not if you trim their wings, and keep them well fed, with a wind and snow sheltor. Of course, you'll need a water thaw device.
