Tell me how that fermenting food works out for you. I've thought about it briefly. I don't know what the "norm" is, but I just had DH haul 450 lbs of bird food for the next 2.5-3 weeks in for me. I can't imagine adding more work to it, but I think the birds would really appreciate it in the winter when their are no other promising greens. Sounds healthful too.

If I do it I'll make sure to let you know how it works out. I'm not sure how well it'd work on a larger scale though

Oh, Julia was super bummed about Luckys demise, so I gave her the Murrey McMurrey cataloge, and now she wants swans. again.

Yes that would make it even harder but depending on the feed cost reduction it might be worth it.

That's what she's trying to decide. Someone on here has some blacks grandma can supposedly visually sex. I'm a little dubious.

I hear the whites are mean, and the blacks take over the entire pool.

I'd have to call bluff on that one.

That's what I've heard as well. Pool hogs sound a lot better then bullies. You might be breaking one of the hatching rules though

. #5 if I'm not mistaken.

Oh thats so funny! On the waterfowl pic thread, I said that same thing. I said that we were getting awefully close to hatching rool #5. LOL That's totally what I was thinking.

Now the only problem is I really want swans too. Takes them like 3 years to mate well though.

. Gosh I miss Hatch Day. I hope it picks up in spring and some of the old people come back. It was so much fun to hang out there when people weren't fighting.

I've heard that too but once they start breeding you'll be set to probably sell out every clutch before it's even set.

Excellen point. Hmm, I should get 4, to be sure there are some pairs. Will one male breed 2 or 3 females, or are they stricly monogamous?
