As in bathtub or a storage tub? What breeds did you have in mind? Ducks grow fast so housing them until they are fully feathered is going to cause quite a bit of stech.

Most likely storage tub, and either Pekins, or Swedish. I read some were that using doggy pee pads help keep the water down?

I've heard that but it was just a nightmare to change for me. Using waterers designed to make less mess has been a huge positive when I brood waterfowl. Currently I'm trying to only brood on wire or sand.

Okay then, thank you! oh, and what are your thoughts on the breeds I am thinking of? They are mainly going to be pets

Pekins can be fairly loud. I've heard mostly great things about Swedish ducks. I think they would both make great breeds for pets.

Okay, leaning more on Swedish (live with neighbors close by XD)

In that case I would probably lean to the swedish as well though any female duck has the potential to be loud at times.

Same with chickens, and goats 0_e Also the swedish are prettier

That is true. It shouldn't be a huge issue to them. My geese are much louder then the ducks but luckily I hate all of my neighbors so I could care less if they don't like it. Swedish are very pretty but I think Pekins are often underrated due to their all white plumage
