Girls vs Girls

Oh, OK. Hmm, maybe I should send you grapes. And a banana.

I've not been a whit bothered by our Lentan diet, but DH thinks he's gonna die without cow and pig. LMAO. He's made it this far. I'm hoping he'll be more open to alternative foods soon. It's gonna be quiet a process teaching him that nuts and cheese and eggs can fill his protein needs. Nothing has to die for him to eat, but so far only you and I know that.

Oh well, I'll take even the little victories. Hows the raw vegan going? It supposed to be very healthful. You eating plenty of mixed unsalted nuts and avocados for aminos and protein?

LMAO! I felt the same way when I gave up dairy but it gets so much easier after the first month. So many vegetarian dishes can be quite tasty!

It's actually going quite well. I have much more energy then I did when I was eating processed foods.

Yes I am.

I just noticed I'm now the 2nd poster in BYC History instead of the 3rd

Thats awesome Kevin! Way to go! I'm sure you'll be top poster soon.

Well, I'm not a big process food fan. I was raised with scratch, and I like it. Have you watched Food, inc?

So, I baked my bread tonight. I added walnuts to it, super yummy!

OMG, did I tell you what happened last week with my baby chicks?

Thanks Amiga

You must watch it soon, very very soon. You might boycot soybeans though.

So, baby chicks arrived. A nice special order too. We were delighted, and rushed home with them. We set up their box, and grabbed the nearest light to keep them warm while we grabbed food, filled feeders, set up water, and etc. All was well when we started. When we got back to them 20 minutes later, they were baked and laying sprawled all over the floor of the brooder. We were horrified. Turns out, it was a touch lamp. I knew that, but it didn't occur to me that the chicks touching it would change the light. It did. They had been at the 50 watt setting. They baked on 250 watts though. (huge horrible sigh)

It's very destructive of the Amazon forests correct?

Oh my goodness! I would have never though you would run into such a issue!

The soybeans is about something else. No they are grown here in field in the US. My folks raised them until the 80's. WATCH THE MOVIE. I can BARELY BELIEVE you havn't yet.

Yes, I was just so stunned and sickend and sad. My poor DD's both saw it too. We were just like what happend, then Ruth noticed the light was much brighter, and we worked out that it had been touched 1 or 2x and thus turned from "warm" to "broil" essentially. My poor Lavander Orphs. I ordered more, and made up an actual lie for why. I know, I'm horrible. The girls just were sooo upset, they sooo wanted them, so what could I do? If I was honest, they wouldn't send them. I just told them my Mom got the first batch, and I needed to buy another.
