Girls vs Girls

Now I'm really intrigued. I'll see if I can rent it somewhere tomorrow.

. I'm so sorry Amiga. That was a freak accident and you have no reason to feel at fault. It could have happened to the best of breeders.

Well, the best of breeders would have had the brooder totally ready. I didn't know they were there, the PO didn't phone. I went to PO to drop off other packages, and heard the birds. I asked them if they were for me, since I get birds more than anyone else around here, and they looked and they were for me! We brought them home and scrambled. Then baked them.

. These things just happen sometimes Amiga. Keeping birds is never going to be a exact science

Do you have any fertile eggs this year? Do you miss the peafowl? Are you going to replace them?
Yes but I feed them all to the dogs. I don't plan on dealing with hatching anything this year.

A little bit but then I think about how much expense and work they were. Then I come to my senses and I'm glad I found them a home better suited for them. I doubt I'll be replacing them anytime soon.

I suppose your kind of cutting back, planning for next year. Your going to love Britans openness about chickens and ducks. Glad the dogs get to eat so well...I'm sure their coats must be beautiful.

That's the plan. There's lots of breeds I'd love to add but this year I really need to start focusing on me. I've spend so much of my life worried about the animals that I've neglected myself. They're going to have to take a back seat for awhile now.

Yes they do! Plus they've finally seemed to be picking up some more weight.

Well, you could save your money and make only a pair of swans your next project. Less feeding, same trouble. LOL Cheaper to feed than six peafowl, but way more valuable. If they escape, your wolf dogs might come in handy.

Or not.

Hon, I'm sorry but I am ready for bedtime. I was hoping Cochin would drop in, but I suppose 20 minutes after we are gone, she'll get here. Hope she reads back.

Cochin,

Yes, I understand. Your right, folks who lived where its warmer, or who only keep "pets" or don't understand that black stuff on the rooster combs is from freezing are gong to sound ignorent, since they truly are (in the most respectful way). You can't win them all. Just let them muddle through it, after all, your getting lots of positive comments for your other useful info, even from those who can't fathem ever dubbing. It's way to good and useful and article to remove.

Your article is very good. It desearves to be there, and the folks who need the info are grateful.

I suggest you stop reading comments.

Or, don't go read again until it's not on the top of the home page. After all, ignorence can truly be bliss from time to time.

(edit to correct grammer)
Good point. Think I'll stop. ^^ Thanks <3

Lol, yeah. Last time I made a thread like that, people just critizied about how it can't be applied to all chickens, but I was like, 'screw it, I wanna make another article' XD

KEV!!
