Have Serema eggs hatching right now. 2 pipped wrong end, 1 not pipped yet, other pipped right end (but that's either a production breed egg or a brahma egg), and just so excited for them to hatch. My grandma is coming on Friday, and well be heading to Valdez!

Sorry I missed you the other day.

Vacations were better than staying home...somebody else did chores for me!
Marriage is still intact, jury still out. Doing a little couple therapy action, and we're both still here at home, so far so good.
Congrats on the hatchings! I want pics and a full report!

Out of a dozen or so eggs, 4 eggs hatched >,< **** Broodie's wouldn't just sit, one had to have ALL of them so then 1-2 of them would die every day it seemed,
The chicks who hatched, though, were 2 Cochins (partridge x buff, have one older one), 1 production Cochin (Nankin, our production something hen x partridge Cochin) and a Serema, which is buff x silver, have 2 silver Seremas and one brown (hatched 2 a few weeks ago)

This is the Serema girl,., know what's funny? I had her under my chin when she started pecking my tooth, so I kinda opened my mouth since I didn't care, when she CLIMBED IN. Not just her head, she put her entire body in my mouth!
Btw, chicken does not taste good live....

The first 2 are a Cochin babe, last 2 is the 'production Cochin'

Their very blood thirsty. I was moving the older chicks to the same pen, and one got cornered and I thought they were gonna kill her! :O and as they were walking, oleo the Cochin, saw a chukar and just lunged for its throat!
