If it takes me a moment to reply it's because my connection is messing up right now because of the storms

Hi Kevin!I'm gettin on earlier again. School start Tue, and I'll be very tired, so look for me at 9:30ish... I'll probobly be signing off sooner the first few weeks, so I can sleep. LOL BUT, I'll be on right after work, about 1:30-2 most days.![]()
Cochin, in this case, autoturner is good. Try putting water into the longish balloons. You can lay them accross the tops of the 6 racks (not in a single row) if you only feel them about an inch accross. 2-4 of these work great in your case. 6 quail racks hold like 120 eggs. You won't need all the space. Fill the rest with heat sincks and a couple of big sponges (so they don't catch in the auto turner). Shame I didn't get a pic of my set up.
We're most likely putting the eggs in tomorrow, but their chickies eggs, and if the hens lay enough, MAYBE 8? So might want to try quail first....
1) OK, well, last night when I checked it was at like 80, when I checked like a couple hours ago it was still 80 (nothing in), but I adjusted the temp. According to what you said maybe too much....Ya I just checked it was at 120*F![]()
2) I'll do so, but how do I tell when its to much or to little humid?
3) It works for meBut I'll see if my moms OK with doing that![]()
4) Right now I want it to cool! Lol!
Me too!! I'm just waiting for our turner! Are quail hatches easier or harder or same as chicken? If it works instead of buying chicks we'll just order hatching eggs (I'm planning on Ameracaunas from a BYCer, leghorns from either a hatchery or a BYCer, Sumatras, cochins, japanese bantams or more seremas or a mixture of eggs from a BYCer!)![]()

I wishKevin, send the rain to Kansas!!!
Your both amazing, I'm no more amazing than you girls!!!
Kevin, saw your duck swap.![]()
AK is pretty dry so I'll try to keep it really humidYou really have to do 3, its too hard to fine adjust that little twig of a controller.
Take off the windows to cool quicker.
Keep the two sponges in. You can go buy a thermometer/humitity gauge. Its helpful to keep humidity at about 50% as a goal, but mine was usually more like 35% here, where its kinda dry sometimes.
