Girls vs Girls

Ok, so i've been after DH forEVER now that we need a milk goat (better two, as they get lonely). I've remeinded him how expensive milk, butter, cheese, and ice cream are. Reminded him I milked goats forever. Reminded him we've still got 3/4 of an acre unused out back.

He's slowly coming around. Actually, he was slow to argue, but came around fast!

Glad you cleared up the pygmy vs Nig. Dwarf thing, those are what I need I guess. I just don't want to be milking with two fingers, so I'll definatley have a look at faucets. I'm also going to try to get from a good milker line. I also won't be buying any young goats that have never been milked. Let somebody else stretch those faucets first. In fact, I found a mini nubain here in KS, that has had and nursed one baby allready. She might have faucets ready for business. The LaMancha I used to have came from star milker lines.
Well try to get one in milk so that you can see her attatchments and how large it is. Be careful what milking machine your using, I've heard of soo many stories of goats udders being ruined from bad ones. Make sure theres a pressure gauge.

Good luck, if you get ND's you could fit 3 :D lol. You want horns?

I don't care about horns.

My hands are the milking machine. :D Very experienced, too! I've seen goat specific machines, but I'm not gonna spend $1700 for a complete set up for less than 5 goats. I don't think I want 3, LOL. I want two, and I indent to breed them 3-4 monthes apart (monthes ending in R, remember?) so that I always have one goat in milk. I can probobly still get one in mild from spring, but the season is almost up. I used to keep mine in milk for 6 monthes, or until the boy goat came for services, then i'd slack and stop milking for awhile. These days, I'd always have one going.

Oh, OK, i thought you meant you would get one.

Marty, only seasonal breeders breed in monthes ending in R. And NDs are not seasonal. Lamanchas are seasonal, whch is why I'd imagine you seem to insist this, (not tring to be kvitchy but just saying)

LaManchas are exceptional too. :D

Hon, I'm off to bed. I hope we see you tomarrow!
