Girls vs Girls

Hmm in that case I could probably handle them! How often do they need to be bred to stay full of milk?

Well you can stagger them for several months (I think 6? Not sure) and keep them in milk for the first month and a half of pregancy.

If you get from dairy lines they should give around a gallon (I think)

That's a lot of milk!

Could it be used for making soap?

See ya soon!

When I was a teenager and milk goats all those years, I bred them any month ending in "r", and I milked up until 2 or 3 monthes before delivery. I got 2 qts every milking from most every goat. I bred in September and December, to keep goats in milk. Yep, a gal. a day.

You can make butter, yogurt, cheese, soaps, and more. Woo Hoo.

Sorry, had to take the dogs out.

Hope Amigas come back.

Its almost chat time. I've been busy with dogs, DH, and DD1 and DD2. Time for AMIGA1 and AMIGA1. (thats 2 amigas)

BTW, if you don't breed your goats, you can milk for over a year without rebreeding again.
A year? That's crazy how long they can still be milked! I could have enough soap for decades

I've never actually had goat milk before. I've heard it's one of those things you love it or you hate it.
