Girls vs Girls

Dewlaps are fairly cold tolerant, but what on earth will you do with her? No boys around, and you'll have to cross her with some other goose to get more (unless you buy one from me this spring). If you get her, that would be great, esp. if you cross her (or find another) and sell offspring.

Shes a toulouse

Eat the eggs, sell the eggs, make a money off the eggs. Might get her a boyfriend come spring, if shes got OK looks get another toulous otherwise it'd be the first gandar I could find, LOL

See that brown one at the front? Behind her is a giner color one, then a gray, then a fawn and white, all 4 in a frow away from camera? I'm buying her full sibling from same birth. (she's very similar, except mine has spots in the white area). Also regiatered, but her mama and grandma are in that heard too. Good udders, good milkers both. Her dad was their 1200 buck. He has produced star milkers, and his mom and grandma were stars, so her milk potential is pretty good. I'm gonna breed Ava to that buck about April-May for Early October baby. The one I'm buying is allready covered by another boy whos with the heard this year, and has another 3 weeks with him for insurance that she'll be bred when I get her.

Hey Kevin, guess what happened?
What happened??
So I MAY get a goose.

It MIGHT be a toulouse

It MIGHT be a female

And it MIGHT be laying.

All I have to do is call this one woman and see if the FREE goose is still available... :D

Glad the gandar is better :]

The gander turned out to be a goose. (Get the goose, cochin)

Took her to the vet today. here is what I've got posted in the goose threads.......

Here is my poor baby en route to vet. Both eyes all covered with white foam. Swelling in nose causing this, and nasal breathing hard for her.

So, vet, sweet fellow he is, checked HER out real well. Found Canine bite marks, and believes a dog is involved. He found bad swelling of her head and upper neck, and she has been prescribed an anti inflamatory and antibiotics. Bad bruising to her bill, too. Some damage is from the fall into the semi empty pool, then more damage from time in ucky pool Good call on the molasses Celtic, he thinks it helped her make it to now. Believes she was in some pain, so gave her a little something for tonight. She is resting comfortably now. I dose her for 3 more days at about 4 pm orally. (this is not easy - hard to open her beak!)

Outlook good, but next 24 hours are gonna be a little rough, and he though 3-4 days (like Celtic said) before she'd be up and around.

^^^^^ And here is what I did after the vet appt.
