Give peas a chance!

Are there any foods your chickens absolutely won't eat? I just added peas to the list--they won't touch them. Also, beans in any form, green or otherwise, oatmeal (are you kidding me??), and 9 Volt (the little priss LOL) doesn't like anything wet or sticky because he is an obsessive beak wiper. *insert eye roll here*

It can take multiple times of offering different foods to get them to try them. A rooster is good because he will show hens and chicks what's good to eat. Younger birds are less likely to try new stuff without a mom to show them it's safe to eat.

Mine don’t like bananas or peas it’s weird though because when they were chicks they loved peas but apparently changed their mind?

You all know the recommendation to hang cabbage in the run for the flock to peck can be a boredom buster?

I've never yet had a chicken that liked cabbage. Guess they'd rather be bored

My hens before this batch wouldn't eat carrots for some reason. I was given half a tube of the fancy wet dog food with peas and carrots in it, chucked some chunks out and those carrots sat for days.

Mine love peas, probably because I use the run fencing to trellis them. I shuck unwanted pods from the other side of the fence and toss in peas, they go nuts.
