I just thought I'd ask this just to make sure I'm not about to do something that would harm my girls. I have my almost 3 month olds in with my grown flock right now, but they are still showing signs of coccidiosis (yogurt, cayenne pepper, and vinegar helped, but they never seem to have fought it off completely. This has been going on for weeks, so I wanted to give them Corid to knock it out once and for all). Is it all right if my grown hens drink water with Corid in it even if they don't have coccidiosis? Or do I need to separate them from the three month olds again? I really hope I don't have to do the latter, they just got the pecking order situated!
Now, I know many of you will say I should have treated it at the first signs, but I seem to have a very mild strain, because bloody poo is the only sign I've ever had. None of them are sickly lethargic, puffed up, or showing any such signs that they are ill. Just running around like normal pullets with lots of energy! Just wanted to make that clear
I would have treated them if they were acting really sick or in pain, of course.
Thank you all!
