Glad I found this forum

i am about 100 % sure you can havre them, i read an article about scovis in flordia, and it seems they were thought of as a nusience species (not native evassive species)) and they were gonna thin them out a lot in the future, you better check with your fish and wildlife first too be sure

Be careful, they have claws!

Ditto, ditto! I have TAME Muscovies I have raised from babies...but if the get outdone with me or I want to pick them up and put them somewhere, they can claw the HECK out of you, along with giving you a good drubbing with their super powerful wings. So, plan carefully -- take a towel to wrap around them, and be prepared to evade the flock members trying to protect the one you're kidnapping!!! BTW, my dogs are scared of them -- a german shepherd and a Belgian Malinois....

Where leather gloves. They are pretty friendly though and if you keep them penned for a while and feed them regularly they will probably stay around. They are a nuisance in Florida and after looking for a while on the web, I've come to the conclusion that it is not against the law for you to take some. Don't hold me to that, do your own search

I need some gloves REALLY bad. My arms are currently criss crossed - and I mean bad in scars and new scratches. I mean I dont mind at all but it gets annoying when I go places and people think I "cut" . Ive been sent to the office before because of the scars on my arms. They thought i was a depressed kid....

They wouldnt beleive me when I said my ducks did it. Until that is they got to know me and heard me open my mouth.

So i would definantly suggest getting gloves if you plan on handeling any. I LOVE my scovie drake goonie.. but he gets me in trouble with strangers, lol.
