Your birds are gorgeous and your dog is as well!! We have 2 pitties also, our female seems a bit to curious around them so I’ve never met her in with them, she was around them when they were wee chicks but that’s it. Our male has been in the run with them, I just made him lay down and they would crawl over him and stand next to him. Now that they are full grown I don’t let him in for his own protection. Lol but I recommend working in your girls ‘leave it’ command if she doesn’t already know it. It’s a valuable tool for sure!

The "shrills" coming from the coop at roost time are screams of a pullet getting pecked or her feathers pulled out because she picked the wrong pullet to roost next to. Roost time can be brutal.
