In the Brooder
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
2
(3) What breeds do you have?
Both are Golden sex linked.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google search
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
ceramics
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist at a high school district, married with 2 grown daughters (not living at my house, yay!), 2 dogs and a fish aquarium. My dogs are wonderful with people but have dog aggression issues. I feel one of my dogs is the biggest threat to my hens rather than all the possum, raccoons, coyotes, hawks and other predators in the area.
It took me 2 years to sufficiently create a fortress that I considered safe and comfortable enough to raise happy laying hens.
