Gleet - yeast - Fluconazole

150mg tablet was given to her over 7 days. No improvement really. I need more help!

Clarify this - what was your daily dosage?
How much does she weigh?

With you being in Canada, likely you will have to ask your vet for the Metronidazole.

What does she eat? Is her crop emptying overnight?

She's a little bird, weighing a little less than 4lbs.
I mixed the 150mg pill in 20 ml of water. So each ml of water should have appx 7.5mg of fluconazole when disolved.
I gave her appx 2 doses a day until it was gone. So, about 15mg per day for 7 days.
Her crop is emptying over night.
She eats grain layer pellets.
She sometimes gets a few table scraps, but we've tried to eliminate those since this issue came up and she gets plain Greek yogurt now instead.
And yes, getting the Metronidazole will not be easy for me.
Maybe try the Fluconazole again? Higher dose?

I'm thinking since you used the Fluconazole and there was no difference, then Metronidazole would be what I would use if it were me.

Do you have a pigeon supply store anywhere close or that you can order from online that will ship to Canada?

@JenBDV, why do you want to use metronidazole?

This was my reply to @JenBDV inanother thread:

When I have one with vent gleet the first things I try are de-worming for five days with fenbendazole and treating for coccidiosis with toltrazuril. If it doesn't improve, I try an antibiotic (enrofloxacin).

Vent gleet is not always a fungal infection.

Metronidazole is used to treat some flagellated protozoans like giardia, trichomoniasis, and histomoniasis. It can also be used to treat clostridium perfringens. If you could get some it might be nice to have around, but I don't think it will help.

I would love to know how this all turned out as my leghorn has the same problem.
