Where is that wolf whistle smiley, anyway?!
Sorry Purple, Jon Stewart is definitely the sexiest fake newscaster on TV. Stephen Colbert is even better looking, but he's a fake pundit, so different category entirely.
Don't be sorry to me. I like them both. I stopped watching Stewart when he turned into another angry Bush basher. I don't listen to any of the current conservative hosts that bash Obama either.
I was a huge Daily Show fan when Craig Kilborn was the host. When Stewart took over it took a little while to adjust but he grew into the part just fine.
I'm not on this thread to bash anyone. I like most of them. Heck, I used to like Mathews. Key word is "used" to.
Since when are we losing this country? The economy is improving, troops are leaving Iraq, something is finally getting done about the environment. People can now visit family in Cuba. People with HIV can now get on a plane to visit loved ones. You got something against planet earth? You don't think all Americans deserve healthcare? What does that even mean we are losing this country?
Have you ever heard of seperation of church and state? It really sickens me how the right has to constantly appease evangelicals for their votes, and then in return have to push their "moral" agenda. Who are you to tell me who I can marry and what I can do with my own body?

No one brought up the seperation of church and state nor evangelicals. So why did you? I am not an evangelical. And I strongly disagree with them on some issues when it comes to running this country.
Many of us are libertarians not republicans. That means that we are for less government restrictions on what other people do.
You are accidentally stereotyping some of us. I think that you would be surprised at where some of us stand on certain issues.
Eggs4sale brought up Beck's "moral fortitude". He's a converted mormon. I'm not saying all evangelicals.
I heard a great story on NPR about the growing number of young evangelical environmentalists. Unfortunately, these people have not been the ones with the influence- yet.
I have nothing against mormons, but when I heard Beck say he had converted- I was NOT surprised. It's way too stereotypical. And just because he's mormon does NOT mean he's any more "moral" than the rest of us.
all politics aside, Glen Beck is entertaining to some, john stewart to most... and if you can stomach him... Rush Limbaugh... And rush admitted the only reason he pushes the views he spouts is because it makes him more $$$$$$$$.
These folks are entertainment.. it's just weird seeing folks like Geraldo Rivera become serious news folks after watching him get his face re-arranged on TV.. That was one show I will never forget.

No, it doesn't mean that he is more moral because of his faith. He has had the chubbier guy from Penn and Teller on. (Sorry, I can't remember the guy's name) Anyway. One of the two is an atheist but I agreed with most of what he had to say and even brought my 16 year old son in to hear the man speak. So, I don't suppose that a religious person will automatically make a person a better candidate or speaker. You are correct in that viewpoint.
I do care about the enviroment. I have my doubts about the goverment being able to fix anything but I do believe that individuals can have a lot of power to bring about change. We tend to underestimate how much influence we can have on one another's actions.
Believe it or not, I have been told in a not nice way that I was a liberal.
I am not, but some of my views on certain issues are certainly not held by those on the right.
