Glistening feathers

Are all chickens feathers supposed to glisten? My two rir are super shiny especially their head feathers. My others breeds dont seen to be. The whole flock has soft and full feather but not the shine?? Is that normal?

Yes, Rhode Island Reds have a very pretty shine to them. My Red Stars do as well.
