“What happens if forget who’s part of the pack and I hurt someone?” Crow said quietly. “I have lived a long life Luna and I want the end to be dignified. I’m not scared to die, it will almost be a relief.”"I'll help you," Luna replied. "I'll lead you around camp...and about cleaning yourself, we'll figure that out."
“Yes, I am. That way I can avoid the looks of pity too,” Crow joked. “See, your doing it right now, and my coat isn’t even that dirty.” He smiled at her, it felt like a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulder. “Thank you Luna.”"But...are you sure?" Luna asked softly
“I’d like to get goodbyes out of the way before I get to that point. I’m not sure how much longer I’ll remember everyone. I’m not even sure I’ll remember this conversation tomorrow. I just want you to know, you’ve been a great friend to me. I wouldn’t want to escape a zoo with anyone else.”"So...I'm just going to let you go? Won't you at least say good bye?"
“You can try. I’ll try to remember too.” Crow smiled again. Now if I could just remember where the food pile was, I’d get something to eat. Think you can help an old wolf out?” He asked"But...maybe I can help you remember?" Luna offered. But her voice was full of doubt
“Thanks Luna” Crow said, smiling. He remembered that he had been upset about something, but couldn’t remember what. Luna seems sad, but he wasn’t sure why. Maybe some food would help her feel better.Luna felt a pang in her heart. "Yes...it's right over this way." She led Crow over to where the food pile lay in plain sight
