Kes wagged his tail slowly. “Oh, good. That would’ve been weird, eh? Imagine! Every time someone greets you- “hello, Hello!’” He shook his head and scratched at an itch behind his ear while also sitting down in front of her.
Sapphire nodded, perplexed. "Yeah..." She glanced up at him and saw his scars. "Are you an omega?" She asked cautiously. Immediately, she wished she hadn't. That could be considered an insult to those who were not omegas.
“Kes don’t be dumb” A new wolf approached “I’m Lottie, and you must be new” she said looking at Sapphire
Kes looked into the distance. “Yeah, I suppose I am.” He said, as if it was the first time that thought occurred to him. “Most of the pack is, ‘cept the alfalfas.” (No, that’s not a spelling error)
“Relax” she lowered her voice “not all of us are like the Alpha’s. I’m a beta but I don’t like having wolves bow to me”
Sapphire glanced up. "So you won't attack me?" She asked
“No silly sit up! I’m not like that.” Lottie smiled
“I’m not dumb, just enlightened!” Kes said, grinning as if it was an old joke. He flopped to the ground in a play crouch, then fell to his side. “All you pure-wolves are so serious.” He said, adopting a light, mocking tone.
