Aurora grinned. "True, true. Unless I convinced someone to carry me to a cliff and throw me off. That would count as jumping, right?"

Osprey snarled and laid her ears back. She lunged at him and bit him soundly behind the ear, enough to bleed. “Don’t make the mistake of defying me again.” She growled and backed away.

Blizzard yipped, and then crouched submissively. When Osprey turned away, he ran from the wolf to his den. As he sat licking his wounds, he thought bitterly, Oh, I'll defy you alright, Osprey. Only this time, I'll make sure you don't find out.
