Osprey looked between the both of them. She couldn’t trust either of their stories. Yet she couldn’t punish them without proof. She let out a low growl of frustration. “Fine,” she snapped, “you get what you want.” She swung her gaze to Blizzard. “You’ll guard the prisoner, every day and every night, until me or one of the Alphas instructs you differently. No hunting, traipsing in the woods, or socializing. You will not leave your station unless to eat or drink.” She glowered at him, and a slight smirk appeared across her face. “No talking with the prisoner either. And,” here, she paused, and went on with evident delight, “if the prisoner escapes, no matter the excuse, all the blame will be on you and you will be punished accordingly. Even if a dozen bears pour through this camp and trample her cage entirely, it will be on your head.”
