Crow made it back to camp without seeing any other settlers. He started running in the direction Marsh had taken Aurora, knowing they might need a little extra help.
“Marsh! Aurora!” He howled

Crow spotted Marsh and run up to him. “I led three away from camp, and it sounded like the other wolves took care of a couple more. I know a nice place by the river where we can wait a couple hours to be sure that they are gone.” he explained

Sapphire awoke from a nice nap to see the settlers invading. She looked around. Where was everyone? she wondered. Had everyone left when the settlers came? If so, who was protecting the pups? Racing forward, she stood at the entrance of the pup's den, ready to defend the pups at all costs
