‘ Food. It is what the settlers feed me and I guess you now.’ Mitts went over to another bowl and began eating.

Luna sniffed the ground. It didn't take her long to realize a Thunderbear had taken the two wolves far away. She debated on following it but decided to first let Mitts know. Then again, maybe I should stay with Mitts and help her take care of those pups.

(Realistically, wolfdogs don't do well on regular dog food. As far as I know, most wolfdog owners feed a diet of various raw meats/organ meats and eggs. Also uncooked bones.)

( for that sake of simplicity it would be high protein food for wolf dogs since Mitts is a breed of dog very genetically related to wolves. so just make Kasper eat it.)

Kasper took a nibble of the dog food. "Hm..." he thought. "Never had anything like this. It's interesting...I'll have to get used to it, I guess." It wasn't as good as the small pieces of meat he had been fed by his mother, though.
