Brutus started laughing. “Oh sure he is, I bet he’s the toughest wolf around huh?” He said sarcastically. “It doesn’t matter either way, because he’s not here. You have no one.” He snapped at her, his hair raising up and teeth showing. “You need to learn your place little omega. You belong at the bottom and no ‘respected beta mate’ can change that. I’m sure by now he’s moved on anyways, if he ever even existed”
Sapphire growled back. "I don't see anyone accepting you as a mate, do you?"
“Not at all,” Brutus growled back, not showing how much Sapphire’s comment stung. “She doesn’t seem to know her place in this pack.”
Brutus glared at her, before quickly glancing around to see if any of the humans were watching.
‘ Well show her then. Unless you are weak, are you?’
Without any more urging, Brutus slammed into Sapphire, grabbing her neck between his massive jaws. He shook her around before letting her go. He was careful not to draw blood. Drool was dripping from his bared teeth and he had a crazed look in his eye.
Sapphire lay limp, trying to appear defenseless
