Glyphosate in Chicken Feed- Should I be concerned or not?

The mere fact that a chemical with industrial use has an MSDS is meaningless. Details matter.

MSDS for WATER
Table Salt
Wheat (Flour, Bran, Germ)
Vitamin A
Calcium Carbonate
Iron

and yes, Glyphosate (Roundup Pro Concentrate)

What "some people believe" is meaningless. Reality is not decided by a committee of common beliefs.
Hello Do these details matter?

Ingestion - Call a physician or poison control center immediately. Rinse out mouth
and give water in small sips to drink. DO NOT induce vomiting unless
directed to do so by a physician or poison control center. Never give
anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Do not leave victim unattended.

It says don't eat it.

It's a shame that this terrible, body destroying poison is found in nearly every single food item in the USA. Even organic foods are loaded with glysophate, just less than non-organic

I was reading a very comprehensive study recently that actually shows that the obesity epidemic is entirely due to the consumption of poison. Laboratory and zoo animals when fed identical diets to 100 years ago are significantly fatter on average. The only difference in diet is the extra ingredient of glysophate in all food sources nowadays

There are people all around the world with all kinds of different diets. Some get 90% of their daily calories from literal sugar, and they're in great shape. The same applies to carbs, fat, protein, etc. None of these cause obesity. When you see obese people it's from the consumption of poison

How does one account for those people who are not fat if every food is loaded with glysophate and glysophate is responsible for fatness?

Overeating, especially those junk foods, is a problem. We are designed to crave salt, sugars, and fats, all difficult to obtain for our hunter/ gatherer ancestors. Now these items are 'free choice' everywhere in the USA, and most of us are sedentary, again, unlike those hunter/ gatherers.
Being an 'easy keeper' is an asset when calories are scarce. Not so much now...

Good morning,
After taking a course in Poultry management from Penn State, my interest perked in how items in feed can be transferred into the end product (Eggs and Meat). I have been researching this for the past week or so and have come to the conclusion that all poultry feed is contaminated. Similar to recent PFAS/PFOS legislation, big brother has set acceptable limits for human as well as animal consumption.

My main concern in feed products is Glyphosate. I have read research papers where commercial eggs, the ones we buy in our stores, were found to have Glyphosate contamination in 85% of the brands tested (both Organic and non-organic). I also read in my opinion a pretty decent study by a Mike Adams on contaminants is Chicken feed. The study limited to 6 mainline products, so it is not all inclusive of the feed network available.

Study Link- https://www.naturalnews.com/2023-03...ctor-supply-producers-pride-chicken-feed.html

This has prompted me to compose this post, as I am now at the point of seeking a source of the least contaminated feed at a reasonable price.

On the flip side, I am a second time Chicken owner, this time only 6 birds for eggs, and feel I am overreacting to this.

Has anyone found a source of contaminant free Feed, or close to it? Should I really be this concerned?

Thanks,

Jimmy
Because organic doesn’t allow the use of glyfosaat, the feed contains very little poison. But it does because the environment is contaminated.

I we want the farmers to stop using glyfosfaat. We should not buy poisoned feed for our poultry and for ourselves. Organic is healthier in many ways. Unfortunately it is more expensive too. Personally I rather spend money on good crops and support organic farmers, then take part in the rat race.
I saved money by not asking (never really needed) a vet for my chickens.

I found a Dutch article which’s interesting read. It explains what has been discussed in this thread too.

You can easily translate it with google or open AI.

PS the glyfosaat and other crop poisons killed at least 75% of all insects in the Netherlands and Germany in the last 30 years or so (what I remember from earlier reading).
PS2 Please stop buying cultivated (non organic) flowers. These contain a disgusting amount of poison. We don’t eat them of course, but it contributes to our poisoned environment too. 🤢
