if i had enough quail i would do that, but what i got is what i got... and if one dies than thats it.. and i dont have many females and they are starting to get all bunged up , so i thought that it would be a good idea to protect them if i want eggs..

How many males do you have to a female?
You shouldn't need saddles if it's a good male to female ratio.

i got one male ( two actually but i switch them out ) and 5 females.. but i HAD like 3 or something.. but i culled one. and i have one male cooperating ... but usually i only have one male inwith them..
