Hmmm, let's see. I don't think I'm that creative. My silkie roo is George because he hatched on Washington's birthday. His half brother is Oliver because my son thought he looked like a slimy wet olive when he hatched. My Dutch breed hens are named after my Dutch ancestors; Carrie, Wilhelmina, Pietranella and Anna. My Australorp is Betsy after a childhood classmate who had black hair. Vanessa is a vanilla colored EE. Our Red Stars used to always have red names, like Ruby and Rosie. Our other roo was Primo because he was the first chick we ever hatched. That was my husband's Italian grandfather's name.
