Goat Pictures :-)

Awww goats! I love goats! I'll post some pics of mine. I raise purebred registered Nubians. I love their ears and personalities. This is Roy, my new herdsire.

Thank you, @Farmgirl47 ! I just love goats, all goats, but I particularly love Nubians. This is one of my favorite pictures, although it was taken long ago and some of these goats are no longer around:

This is the milking line. This way I can milk one, without having them all run in and "flock" me while gobbling down the feed, knocking over the bucket etc. This keeps them nice and well-behaved, and in addition, they are used to standing tied every day, so when I go to a show and tie them at ringside to wait for their class, they are nice and patient and don't mind a bit. In addition I think it looks really cute! You can see they each have their own little feed station so they can get their fair share of the grain.

Love all the picture. I just got my first goats a couple weeks ago. They are all Nigerian Dwarfs. I just adore them already.
This is Holly and she is 5.

Here is Holly being naughty while I did some barn chores. She's trying to get the grain that was left from her morning milking. They all learned very quickly what was in that blue feeder.

That is so cool! My Mom does something similar to that when she is milking the cows. After she is finished with each one, she ties them up in a line (outside of the fence) and they are given whatever food is leftover from their milking session (which they soon devour). After the last one is milked we let them back into their pasture to graze. They have all become halter-trained because of that. :)

How many goats do you currently have? And if you don't mind my asking, how do you prepare your does/bucks for breeding season? Any special minerals/supplements you give them?

They are all so pretty! :love Hope they do well for y'all. Thanks for sharing!

Sadly we lost Schroeder, one of our two Nubian bucklings, last week. He went down unexpectedly with Barber Pole worms, and despite all we did to try and save him, he didn't make it. I am devastated. He was such a sweet little guy.
RIP Schroeder, we will miss you!
