Goat yells constantly?

So its been a while since ive been on here but I have 2 dwarf nigerians and one of which is around 9 months old, and for some reason she seems to wake up veeery early and start yelling every morning before feeding, CONSTANTLY! shes fed every day both a little grain and some hay and our other doe doesnt do this. Shes not in heat and I cant find any other reason for this? Just wonderin cause we have a roomate who rents our apartment just out alongside the goats area and im sure hes forced to listen to it every morning . shes not injured or sick, so any ideas?

She wants food. You can either continue to give her food when she yells (reward her) or wait till she's quiet to feed.

Hi and welcome back! Is there forage where they're housed? How much do you feed them, how many times a day, and at what times? Is she wormed, is she still growing, does she go to bed with a full tummy? So many questions, I know, but to me it sounds like she's waking up hungry and notifying the neighborhood about it. Your other doe, who stays quiet could be a different age, have a different metabolism or just have a different personality? Goats are cute, pictures? Good luck!

Yes there is forage although now that its winter its mostly all evergreen stuff and old blackberry, they are both wormed and claws are clipped and generally seem to go to bed no complaints, they are also alowed to freerange once a week on our acre as we have pear and apple trees and some brush they like to eat bark off of. I didnt even think of the metabolism thing though and since our older doe generally finishes off thier food I think you may be right! Ill have her fed seperately a few evenings and see what happens

Stop feeding grains. It will cause them to yell, and can cause digestive problems. At 9 months she doesn't need any anymore unless she's pregnant. Always keep a good quality grass available 24/7.

We let our Nigerians have access to hay 24/7 but one of our special guys biggie yells when he’s lonely and wants to the kids to come play. She may be hungry or if she’s very tame like ours, wanting people time

If you feed her the grain the same time every day, she's probably anticipating it and hollering to let you know it's time. I feed mine grain. They get too thin for my liking on just grass hay. But I never feed at the same time. It's whenever I feel like going out there. And they only yell if they see I'm on my way. The cow and the donkey and the pigs get in on the yelling fun too. The ducks start quacking and the chickens start running around. So I think it's a normal thing for animals to get excited about feeding time. I know I get excited for a good meal. ;-)
