Do pygmy goats need to be with other goats? And how much is the average cost for them?

Pygmy goats, like all goats are in need of a companion. If you mean other breeds of goats then no, you can have an all pygmy herd. If you mean any goats, then yes, you shouldn't keep just one goat. They need another goat to keep them company as they are very social animals. I have pygmy goats and mine are pretty cheap, only about $30-50 a month. That's just for the food, it will cost more if you plan on getting quite a few goats, and also for the occasional shots or illnesses.
