Goats!!!

Well if you want goat that is big in butterfat nigerian dwarf goats are the way to go. And they are also great with small space such as pygmy. I haven't have kinder goats I was going to. I read they have great meat. Although I could never eat mine. But everyone has different opinions.
I thought about them too but they don't give much milk right? My family of 4 goes through 2 gallons a week!

I have no experience with Nigerians, but I have noticed that the breeders have improved them greatly. I would imagine a decent milking Nigerian could produce your two gallons a week. A full sized dairy goat can be expected to produce a gallon a day.

From what I read kinders give more, and they provide more meat. I want to say Nigerians only give 2 cups per milking. I'd have to look it up. But surely as popular as the kinders have become someone on here has one!

I heard Nigerians can give quite a lot. But I just how big your family is and how many each of you go through. I think Kinders can produce more milk then Nigerians.

New goat owners here, a Nigerian dwarf named Piccolo!

He's 3mths old today and we've yet to tell him he's a goat, we've raised him like a puppy so far, housetrained in 4days!!! Head butts door to go in or out, cutest thing ever!

Working on a buddy for him now, it's time to tell him he's a goat!

There is just one now :(
They were born in April and after we had weaned them we put the baby girl in with the mama and the boy in with our big buckling.
They just started getting scrawny but we didn't pay very much attention to them (so it was probably our fault) :( my younger sibling noticed it and then fed them a buch of chicken feed so they started going diarrheah all over the place. We have been feeding them on plants, tree leaves and regular goat feed .

Chicken feed will kill a goat. Never feed a goat chicken feed.

Ours has eaten quite s bit of feed, more than once found him arse out of a bag! It was well over a month of eating it before we found out it was bad for him. We never saw an adverse reaction. Thankfully.
