Going Green Chicken Coop...(FINISHED!!! PICS on Page 2 ***** )

I like the little door in the floor...thats cute so they can scratch around in the morning, but still be safe until you get them out to play! Very nice design and cute flowerboxes

Its just people willing to be giving! Some people think what they have is worth something and want something for it....

Occassionally, you will get one or 2 good people.

I do suggest you goto constuction sites and ask to dumpster dive for scrap wood.... I've never been told NO! So help yourself to their stuff....

My husband is doing them for about $800 for one like this, at this size... but with all new material of course. This one currently holds 5.

Hi,
Great Coop and it's aways good to see people using recycled materials. The size looks perfect for me or do you think I need something bigger? I do live in Tampa, Fl., where the coldest of nights are in Feb. At times it has dropped down to 28 degrees for a night or two. Most of the winter is low 40's at night and upper 70's during the day. They really only need the coop for sleeping and lay their eggs.
I have 7 six week old hens (I hope) and have them in a run with a Chick N' Hutch. See attached photo. The run is 10'x10'x6'high. My girls are out playing in the yard when I took this photo.
Let me know what you thing. You are too far for me to purchase one from you. But would love to so I don't have to build it myself and my 10 thumbs.

I want my truck back! LOL

There is a lot of construction going on around here, and I saw a lot of good wood, 2x4, plyweood etc that I could have used. If I just had a pickup!

Gret finds and great coop. Love the silkies
