My Goats all loved to play this game ... There heads are very hard as this is what they naturally do... I used to jokingly ride my Nubian wether ( not putting ANY weight on him) and it never hurt him... I raised and showed goats for 6 years with no ill effect my goats have butted me before but that what i get for sticking my head down in There home... And if the OP does get hurt I am sure he will not take it out on the goat... He will realize it was his own fault..

Looks Saanen to me, but can't tell the sex from the pics, I would assume you wouldn't be "riding" on a smelly buck though LOL

see what people dont relize is a goat is an animal too and it can be trained just like any other animal this goat only acts up when encouraged, if you were to just walk up in his pasture and sit down with him and just feed him, not even knowing he has this side he is so sweet, this day we were playing with him there was prob around 10 people in the pen with him from kids that were 7 to grandmas over 50 and he only played with us when he went up to anyone else he would just sit there and rub his head on them, he knows his boundries just like any other animal, take dogs for instance they can be so lovable and sit in your lap all day but when you take them out side you can play tug of war with them or even get them to nibble on your arm it is just all fun for them just like this is fun for the goat

yes, I do know that a goat is an animal and can be trained. I train goats for a living, to carry packs and be driven in carts. I also breed goats for a living. And I am telling you now that even if it seems like you have trained this goat, there will come a time that he doesnt differentiate between you and someone else, and it will end up badly.

I honestly dont know why I'm bothering to say all this.

i understand what you are saying as it happens in all animals just like the dog thing it can be so lovable but one thing can just set it off and it will turn pure evil even on its owner, it is just in their blood to do this and i understand all this as if anything happens i will be at fault, no blame to the goat, but i do enjoy all your opinions, so its not like any1 is really against this they are just worried about it hurting someone, but i understand this i enjoy reading everyones comments

The problem is that you are teaching the animals bad habits. It is the same case with you teaching the dog to nip your arm, or teaching the goat to head butt (for lack of a better word to describe it). It is teaching those animals that that kind of behaviour is acceptable, when it really isnt. The goat cannot understand the difference between hitting you hard, or hitting you soft, because when he plays with other goats they hit as hard as they can - part of the fun is seeing how hard they can hit.

As I mentioned before - I've had a goat who got a fractured skull from playing like this with other goats - do you really want to be on the receiving end of that much force?

i wasnt saying as if everone one does it i know how to ride and and the hrses know how to respond to the diffrent pull of the reins or even little snich snich sounds i make with my mouth i would never abuse a animal of any kind, i even hate killing insects i am a nature boy

Yet you proceeded to goad a goat...do you realize that you might have accidentally caused him to get caught in the fence? And what about yourself? What if the goat had hit you into the fence and you'd gotten cut up? What if the goat had THEN decided to get you while you were down and go in for the kill like a whitetail?

i dont see how i am teaching it bad habits as this is what they naturely do, i use to work at a place called kennedy park and they had the petting zoo with goats raised to be pets, but still with out even being inticed they would still try to jump up and headbutt, this is just in their blood if i play with it or not they are still going to do it, im not teaching it bad habits im just letting it do what it does and have fun doing it
