I thought all was lost on this bunch of eggs that I've got in one of my incubators. Only 2 eggs hatched on time. A patridge cochin bantam and a Gold Seabright. Day 22 came and went with no action, no peeps, nothing. I decided to wait. Day 23, I thought I heard some peeps but when I went into the incubating room....nothing. Okay, it must have been from the 2 that already hatched. Day 24, hubby says he swears he hears peeping in the incubator room. I go in, peek in the incubator and I see a pip! It's a silkie egg! YAY!! Today, Day 25, a silkie hatches but then dies shortly afterwards.
About 3 hours ago, another Gold Seabright has hatched! There are three more eggs that are pipped. Two are Mille Fleur D'uccles! One I think is another Partridge cochin!
We're almost on Day 26 here and they're still hatching! I did have some funky things going on with my incubator about halfway through the incubator period and we lost power for about 4 hours another day but I never thought it would delay things this much!
Never give up! I almost tossed those eggs on Day 23....I'm so glad I didn't!
