we are building a new coop and extra large run-but we are leaving for 17 days and I am gonna lock them down in the coop-the neighbor lady is gonna check them everyday for food,water,eggs. I would rather them be locked down than imagine what could happen while I am gone. It is gonna be a big coop and they will be fine-they will miss free-ranging but their world isn't gonna end.

I want to enjoy our vacation and not have to worry. All I have to do is think about those thousands of hens in their tiny pens laying eggs everyday for the grocery store and then my worries go away and think how lucky mine will be to just be penned up in the coop!!! Security and peace of mind is everything!!
