Coop is finished, I got my permit this morning for having chickens within city limits, and my chicks are ordered for pick up on 9/12. Really excited to begin my backyard chicken journey!

Today was their first outing outside, a little timid at first but then really enjoyed it.

They are all growing up so fast, I have switched a couple of breeds as the start looking more like chickens.

Started getting eggs two weeks ago and all of my girls except for 1 are laying, it has been very exciting coming home every day to see who have laid an egg for us. We have now received 52 eggs in the two weeks since they first started.

I’ve been working on an app for chicken keepers that helps track egg laying, flock health, maintenance tasks, and other important day-to-day flock details. I originally created it for my own backyard flock because I wanted something simple and useful, but it has grown into something I’m now considering making available to others.


At this stage, the app is mainly built for small and backyard flocks, but I’d also really value feedback from those with larger flocks or farms. I’d love to learn what features would be most useful for bigger operations so I can explore building a version that better fits those needs too.


The app is desktop, tablet, and mobile friendly, and I’m currently looking for 10–15 people who would be interested in beta testing it and sharing honest feedback. I’m looking for input on functionality, ease of use, usefulness, content, and anything else that stands out—good or bad. Feedback from real chicken keepers would be incredibly helpful as I continue improving it.
