I have 4 ee's and 3 bantam cochins. Our temps are in the 80's in the day and mid 50's at night. I will be putting them in an a frame that is half covered with a small enclosed coop inside it. There will also be 3, 3 week old ducks in there also. I did have a heat source in there until yesterday when I went to feed in the morning and there was a 2 foot long snake curled up under the heat. Dead snake and out with the heat. Any way here are the photos. The little cochins are a little older and feathered out more on there backs.

Sounds like you need to do a little more predator proofing too

They will certainly be OK during the day, but 3 week olds still need about 80-85 degrees 24 hours a day
