well my house is 57-59 almost all the time right now and my chicks have a lectro kennel pad set up like a brooder plate so the pen itself is cold. Only warm place is under the pad/plate and they regulate how much they are under it. Technically mine won't need acclimating either but I'm not putting them out til it is 40 at night
