So I just came on this thread and these girls look JUST like a bigger version of my gold laced polish that I had aside from the top hat loll. Gorgeous birds ^^ and just for fun heres a pic of her.

Not the best lighting in the picture but shows her color lol.

Pretty baby. I love all the laced varieties. How big are the Polish? Love the hat. What girl doesn't like accessories?

The polish are on the smaller side. Mine aren't bantam sized, but they are easily half the size of my bigger girls like my orpington and my australorp. Here's a photo of my polish that I have now. Unfortunately Oprah, the one in the picture I already posted saved a chick from a hawk but didn't survive. My boyfriend was very heartbroken as she was his baby.

One of my two orpingtons actually has some lacing on her now, but nothing like the ones on this thread. She is a half welsummer half orpington cross and shes just gorgeous. I do love the lacing on those girls though and I wish that I could breed some of my own to have.

Hi everyone! I just ordered some hatching eggs and also some jubilee eggs too. Wondering when they start to lay?! This is going to be a long wait if I'm asking before they even hatch haha!
Thanks

Counting chickens before they hatch... Lol- my Jubilees started laying at about 7-8 months old. My GLO's are still chicks, but I'm sure it will be similar. They don't start as soon as hatchery stock, but some of my hatchery hens have died randomly, or lay weird eggs... so I think it is good that they take their time.

7-8 months like 28-32 weeks?

My GL flock had cockerels and a pullet fertile at 6 months. The other pullets were fertile at 7 months. I had a new generation of chicks at 7 months 1 1/2 weeks. No plucking.

Please post pictures when they hatch
