You can see darker wing patches, solid black hackles, etc…all traits of a male. And the giant red comb.I don't see any hackle nor saddle feathering ... although they usually don't "show" until about 12wks. Size of comb/wattles not tell tale sign, I've had a pullet with HUGE comb that had me guessing & but never saw the feathering ... glad I didn't sell her. She was a good layer. I may be wrong but at 9wks, if it was a male the comb & wattles would be redder. IMO
PLEASE UPDATE us at 12wks or if you hear the crow
Nope. Still a big red cockerel combI wondered if the comb is bigger and darker because it’s a single comb rather than the rose comb it should be ?
