Gold Laced Wyandotte? Wha?

Hi, new here. Been lurking a while, thanks for a lot of good info! We got these 2 girls and were told they were pure Gold Laced Wyandottes. I'm relatively certain they are a mix. They are beautiful but not what we expected of course. They have great personalities but are a tad flighty. I know the kid my son got them from had some Black Copper Marans, he was "Frankensteining" Olive Eggers, and a few Ameracanus. My guess is probably a mix of of Maran? Just thought I would get some more experienced opinions. If I don't get a chance to respond timely I thank you in advance...Thanks! ✌View attachment 1100279 View attachment 1100284 View attachment 1100287 View attachment 1100288
Hey, welcome to BYC! :frow

Chickens ARE pretty Metal!! :he (supposed to be head bangin') :p

Anyways, so many mixed reviews from different peeps all with a good eye... I'm gonna say mix is most likely.

Feather legged would be IF your friend was breeding Marans to the French standard. I see way too many clean legs these days. Those legs are pretty yellow for Marans or Ameraucana. But Wyandotte do have yellow legs! :lau Do both girls have the same color ear lobes? Them look like some Franken hens to me... :old Did they get names already or start laying eggs yet?

They are pretty girls though! :love
