I know these are a hybrid, but I had a hard time finding information on these Metzer ducks when getting my own. All 300 and White Layer guardians feel free to share your beauties and talk amongst one another here!

I'll start off by sharing my Millie who is the leader of the pack, the loud mouth, and my overall clown!

I'm so glad you started this thread. Here is my Dasey after the flower not the duck

She is two weeks old and such a funny girl. She is the biggest in my flock of six lady's. I have three Welsh Harlequin, two Cayuga and my white layer. I couldn't resist getting Dasey. I have always had a soft spot for white ducks but I did not want a piken. Plus white layers are super layers!

The picture with your dog peering down at her is so precious!

I can't wait until I can contribute some pictures to this thread; we have ten ducklings due to arrive from Metzer on the 13th and four of them will be golden 300 hens. From the photos I've seen they are just beautiful!

Gorgeous! It looks like someduck is ready for her close-up XD

Does anyone have any older 300s? I know that all ducks slow down (or cease) laying as they get older, but with this breed I'm wondering how soon/steep the drop is. We have our four (1 runner 3 buff) girls for pest control and entertainment as well as eggs, and they are all about two years old. We're getting about one egg a day (as many as three, but that's unusual). Anyone have experience here?

Seven days left on my duckling countdown!

Thx!

Mine aren't laying yet, but that's a good question. I want to know, too!

The peeps are here! The package was delayed and didn't arrive until Thursday, and we ended upl losing three of the ducklings :( But all four of the 'golden girls' made it safely, and boy are they big and energetic! I still haven't decided on names yet though 0_0

Good, because I'm totally using this thread's low post count as an excuse to spam baby pictures :D Today they got to take a little bath while I changed out their bedding (for the second time today, haha) - they are too cute when they try to zoom underneath each other in an inch of water :p
