He has a single comb. Looks like he froze the points off.

Yes. He has a single comb that had frostbite at some point.
I have no illusions about him being a pure breed. I do know that he came from a hatchery and was wondering if anyone knew what hybrid (or cross breed) he resembles that is being peddled by major hatcheries.
Comets, rangers, sex links for example.

Actually he doesn't resemble a Red Sexlink male. Red Sexlink males are nearly solid white with a little red in the wing.

He doesn't look like any way shape or form of red sex link. I would guess some type of mix.
But oh my goodness I love him!! I want one!
